Background information:

The ”Capital Investor Relations Award” is one of the most prestigious German Investor Relations awards. “Capital” magazine, together with the German Association for financial analysis and asset management (DVFA), awarded the prize in June 2008 for the 12th time.

“Institutional Investor Research Group” has published industry standard rankings for the international financial sector for over 40 years. Sell-side and buy-side analysts are surveyed on a regular basis. The ranking was published in May 2008.

The 35th “Thomson Reuters Extel Survey” was published in June 2008 after surveying over 7,500 capital market professionals from investment firms, more than 1,500 sell-side analysts and 450 of Europe’s largest quoted companies worldwide.

During the annual “Vision Awards” which took place recently in July 2008, the “League of American Communications Professionals” awards the best annual reports worldwide. In the process, a Jury awards 36 prizes in 9 categories (each has a Platinum-, Gold-, Silver- and Bronze-Award) and assesses an industry-based and total overview. In 2008, the assessment included more than 3,000 annual reports.

Every year, “Manager Magazine” identifies “The Best Annual Reports” based on a detailed analysis focused on content, layout and language. Each of the three categories undergoes objective scientific analysis by individual universities. In addition, a jury of capital markets experts evaluates the informative value, reporting efficiency and reliability of the annual reports. 184 German annual reports were analyzed and the results published September 2008.

“IR Global Rankings” is a comprehensive ranking system for Investor Relations performance. Its independent experts review the worldwide communication processes between corporations and their analysts and investors. The mentioned rankings were also published in May 2008.
