Fresenius Medical Care Reports Second Quarter 2007 Results and Upgrades Outlook for 2007

Net revenue of Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA (“the Company”) increased by 11% to $2,404 million (9% at constant currency) the second quarter 2007. Operating income (EBIT) increased by 5% to $391 million. Excluding one-time items in the second quarter of 2006, the operating income increased by 16%. For the second quarter 2007, net income was $179 million, an increase of 38%. Excluding one-time items, net income increased by 30%.

Net revenue for the first half 2007 increased 21% (19% at constant currency)
to $4,725 million. Operating income (EBIT) for the first six months increased by 23% to $756 million. Excluding one-time effects, operating income for the first half of 2007 increased by 30%. Net income rose by 38% to $339 million in the first half of 2006. Excluding one-time effects, net income increased by 29%.

Based on the operational performance in the first half of 2007, the Company raises its outlook for the full year 2007 and now expects to achieve revenue
of more than $9.5 billion. Net income is now projected to be in the range of $685 million to $705 million in 2007. Previously, the Company expected revenue of approximately $9.4 billion and net income in the range of
$675 million to $695 million.
